Hi,

recording with lavrec stops after a while - sometimes after 2 seconds,
sometimes a bit later. With -d4 it works, but not with -d2 or -d1.

I'm using lavrec 1.6.1, driver-zoran-0.9.3, kernel 2.4.21-pre5.

/etc/modules.con has:

alias char-major-81-0 zoran
options zoran card=7
options zr36060 low_bitrate=1


I read that there are problems on VIA chipsets and with shared
interrupts. I have an AMD chipset (751/756, Irongate/Viper), is that
problematic, too?

I'm also not sure whether I'm using shared interrupts for the Buz.
According to /proc/interrupts, all is well:

Could this be a problem or probably not? The BIOS doesn't have IRQ
re-routing settings, and I'm not very keen on the card shuffling game.

hdparm -u1 didn't help. I also played a bit with setpci to change the
latency, but frankly I didn't know what I was doing (according to lspci,
the Zoran chip doesn't have a latency setting, so I changed the one of
that PCI bridge).

What should I try next? Play with the kernel settings (I have MTRR,
local APIC and IO-APIC support enabled)?
