The SVCD files work perfectly, the DVD ones have a sound problem but > I am sure that I have got 704(or 768)x576 files to work in the past doing > this (before I discovered Linux) so it may just be a job of rescaling. Why do you want to force a SVCD to be treated as VCD ? You can also create a VCD/SVCD/DVD in Linux. For VCD/SVCD you use vcdimager/cdrdao. For DVD just use dvdauthor, and the dvd+rw tools (also support now DVD-R/RW)
You find the commands and steps described in the mjpeg-howto Sections: Creating Video-CD's, Creating SVCD, Creating DVD's > I think it is a matter of time before all the tricks involved with Nero appear > in K3B, so if I can prepare the files in Linux I will soon be able to burn > them in Linux, hopefully! > > I note that kino uses mjpegtools to export its mpeg files. Is there a setting > I can do which would force a VCD header onto an SVCD or DVD res file? Why force ? Just use the right option, and it will work on most HW players fine. auf hoffentlich bald, Berni the Chaos of Woodquarter Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] www: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~gz/bernhard ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
