I consider myself computer-literate, but I have to admit I am having trouble capturing and playing back footage on my computer.
I have a mirovideo DRX card and I would really love to use it on my linux system.
I am sure it is the zoran 36050 processor but I am unsure of the PCI controller (36057/067).
I run debian and I have upgraded my kernel to 2.4.21.
I have downloaded driver-zoran-0.9.4 and compiled it.
While compiling with gcc 3.3.1 I get lots of warnings, mostly of the type: warning: this is the location of the previous definition and warning: "some_variable" redefined
Make Install gives me a lot of "unresolved symbols".
Then, insmod zoran.o gives: zoran.o: unresolved symbol videocodec_attach zoran.o: unresolved symbol videocodec_detach
As far as I can tell, the modules are not loading. I have tried to follow the FAQs on the internet, but while they are a good start, they don't seem to be clear to the total newbie (ie me). Is there anything I should do before attempting to install the drivers beforehand?
Thanks, Luke Miller
