Hi,

I'm considering getting an LML33 board from Linux Media Labs to record
broadcasts for timeshifting/recording (I like to watch on my schedule, and
usually after snipping commercials).

I have now a Hauppauge WinTV board (with FM tuner) that I use to do software
encoding, but want to do hardware encoding.

The LML33, of course, is just an encoder (no TV tuner).

How are people here handling this? I like that I can specify software control
of channel selection on the Hauppauge card. I also have an nVidia GeForce 2
MX for TV-out (comp & S-Video).

Far as I can see, I'd have to plug the cable into the Hauppauge (which is as
it is, now), then plug the S-Video out of my nVidia to the S-Video in of the
LML33, then the S-Video out of the LML33 into my TV, is this right?

Problem is, I'm using the TV as the computer's monitor as well (presently, the
nVidia S-Video out is going to the TV).

Has anyone come up with a better solution? Or are other LML33 users only
digitizing stuff from other devices and not from a tuner card?
