mplex -O is still broken. See these files: http://florin.myip.org/mpeg2enc/ They were created like this: mplex -f 8 test.m2v test.mpa -o test-zero.vob mplex -f 8 -O 500 test.m2v test.mpa -o test-plus.vob mplex -f 8 -O -500 test.m2v test.mpa -o test-minu.vob Yet, the time-shifted VOBs do not show the expected time-shifting, neither when playing them with a media player (i made the movies so that there are events on them specially to test A/V sync, to make it easier to spot problems), nor when probing them with various MPEG utilities. In fact, as far as i can remember, mplex -O never worked for me. I always thought it was an option that doesn't work :-) only recently i've heard that some people are actually using it. I'm using Red Hat 9 (and RH 8 a while ago), if that's any clue. I'm willing to run various tests to help you squish the bug. Just let me know what to do. -- Florin Andrei http://florin.myip.org/ ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
