**ERROR: [lav2wav] Input file(s) have no audio, use the -r option to generate

Multiple videos have this issue, lavinfo returns (in part)

has_audio=0
audio_bps=0
audio_chans=0
audio_bits=0
audio_rate=0
num_video_files=1

The sound is present if played in MPlayer and the channel can actually be 
dumped using it (mplayer -dumpaudio). 

lav2wav is not identifying the video file as either NTSC or PAL, as I don't 
know which one it is I have tried both (+n/+p)

I need either a solution to this problem or a good free program to convert 
large mp3s to mp2.
