This is wandering a bit away from mjpegtools but I think I have
a method that will work to get the audio.
If mplayer can play the input avi file then
mplayer -dumpfile output.wav -dumpaudio input.avi
mp2enc -b 128 -o output.mp2 < output.wav
should do the trick. Then use mplex to put the .m2v and .mp2 files
together.
