Yes. My HOWTO below is outdated, i'll post a newer version soon. AC3 should work fine, if you use reasonably new software. I'm creating all my DVDs with AC3 nowadays, and no problem so far. It's essentially the same method as described in the HOWTO, but just use the parameters for AC3 instead of MP2 and use the newest dvdauthor (0.6.10) and AC3 should be fine. > I've been using mp2 audio generated with toolame at 224kb/s, 48KHz, and I've found > that several of my friends' NTSC DVD players play the video fine, but do not play > any audio. That's very strange. I thought MP2 should work with the vast majority of DVD players (no matter what the standards say). It never happened to me, anyway. But now i use AC3 and the point became moot. > Florin Andrei <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > http://zebra.fh-weingarten.de/~transcode/docs/DV-to-DVD-HOWTO.txt -- Florin Andrei http://florin.myip.org/ ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
