To follow up my own posting with a slight correction and one
important item I forgot to mention...

mp3 is not permitted for the DVD format. Either MP2, LPCM, or AC3
are the valid options (DTS is also permitted but I'm not aware of
any free encoders for DTS audio).

For NTSC that would have been 640x480 -> 704x480 (fingers got ahead
of the brain again). For 625line countries 768x576 -> 720x576 is
the proper sizing.
