Sigh - too many mailitems in flight at once (think I had 2 or 3
windows with replies being composed roundrobin). The real name
of the program you'd want is 'yuv4mpeg'.
For future reference (in case you need to deal with raw/headerless
data) the two programs are yuv4mpeg (which ADDS YUV4MPEG2 header and
frame markers to raw/headerless data streams) and y4mtoyuv to produce
a raw/headerless a stream from YUV4MPEG2 stream.
y4mtoyuv takes no arguments at all so usage is, shall we say, simple.
yuv4mpeg takes all the usual options to specify a stream's attributes:
yuv4mpeg usage: [-k] -w width -h height [-x] [-a pixel aspect] [-i p|t|b] -r
rate
Swap U and V: -k
Interlace codes [-i X]: p (none) t (top first) b (bottom first)
Rate (as ratio) [-r N:M] (30000:1001):
Pixel aspect (as ratio) [-a N:M] (10:11):
Specify chroma format [-x string] (420mpeg2)
-x help for list of formats
NOTE: Only the 3 plane formats supported
