Any problems though are transcode's ;) (Hint: if they use pkg-config to get the settings for mjpegtools they'll have fewer problems). I think any transcode issues will be with its not using the YUV4MPEG2 API and hardcoding references to structure members and the like. > - reasonable settings for DV-to-DVD conversion That's not mjpegtools responsibility ;) It's up to the compressionist to arrive at the proper settings for each job (and each job is different). > Hopefully I'll be able to provide feed-back in a couple days. In time for 1.8.1 ;) Seriously - waiting until the 3rd release candidate is almost done with and just a couple days before the actual release is NOT the proper time to raise your hand and say "I haven't done the testing that I should have been doing for the last 3 months". If there are problems there can, in the near future, be a 1.8.1 release. RC3 was aimed at finding any last minute build problems, not as a "Gentlemen it is time to start your testing". I'd rather, after all this time, get the release done and collect bug reports towards 1.8.1 Cheers, Steven Schultz ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Mjpeg-users mailing list Mjpeg-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mjpeg-users
