Does that card have the the vpx3220 IC ? Else that fix for the vpx3220
won't help you.

That patch is rather easy.

The *.ko is the compiled driver module. Is that module loaded ? Have you
done a "lsmod | grep vp" and did the vpx3220 module shop up ?

Only with the zoran based DC30, and from you mail it doesn't look as if
you would have a zoran based card, that has the vpx3220 IC. 

I would guess that you have a bttv based card (I didn't take the time to
look what card you have). And you have simplay choosen the wrong input.
have you tried all inputs -i p/P/t. Can you give us some information of
what kind of image you get for each input. 
How many inputs does the card have ?
