Hallo Which kernel (and zoran driver version) do you use ? And which version of the mjpegtools. Can you also post you recording command ?

And it is allowed to start at every field. > 2. There are some odd image artifacts that appear at certain spots on > an image that look like a checkerboard. When you record for the same length, have the files the same size ? The pattern looks unfamilair to me (I don't own a DC10+) The only thing that comes into my mind you set a to lowe quality. With a quality factor of 40 you should not encounter that problems. How did you extrac the images. I think most of the damage is done when you have put the image together. Can you get the simge image out of the stream recorded with lavrec when playing it back with glav -F file.avi (the -F is important). And make than a screenshot, and use a format png/ppm/pnm (a format that does not recompress) That should make a difference. If you send the frame again not to te mailinglist there is a 60kb Mail limit !! just to me or other people which are interrested. Or extract a single frame with lavtrans. > I would really like to use Linux for my recording because it affords > much more flexibility than virtualvcr or Pinnacle Studio for things > like scheduled recording. Do you have a interlacing problem like switched fields, or is it just that the recording startes sometime with a top and on some other times with a bottom field ? auf hoffentlich bald, Berni the Chaos of Woodquarter Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] www: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~gz/bernhard ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
