The URL that was giaven pointed at a "fixed in beta 2". Perhaps
an earlier (snapshot or beta) version of 10.2 is being used in which
the g++ problem was not yet fixed

64bit version of FC6 worked, eventually (some weirdness in FC6's
libtool on 64bit that needed to be compensated for).
