The file install-info installs the info documentation. Do you have info 
documentation and tools installed ?

BTW: Which release candidate did you choose ?

I would prefer it if someone with a debian system could create from the 
RC-1 tar.gz file a package for debian on a debian machine. I don't have 
a debian machine. So that is a problem for me.
