No, to know why it doesn't play back would be to look at the mencoder source and at the mjpegtools source. And look what is going wrong. > === AVI file format detected. That's a tricky question. I'd ask on a lives mailinglist. I remember that there was once a lives output plugin for the mjpegtools.
