ok all as you all know i just finished my shifter rebuild...thing is while
driving home tonight...the loop that the shift stick goes through that is
attached to the shifter rod broke off the shifter rod. obviously this is
going to need to be replaced the question to all of you is this... what cause
this to break? was it wear and tear? it broke off right at the weld of the
shifter rod. this sucks cause it means im gonna have to drop the exhuast
again.i dont have a problem with that its just that i dont want it to keep
breaking due to something else..is there something i could have screwed up
during the rebuild? i pushed what was left of the shifter rod sticking out
and i could only go in to third...need help soon. TIA
