That's not a VR6.  That is a true V6.  The passat and the upcoming Golf 
4Motion share this engine with the Audi A4.  As far as the Eurovan goes, I 
don't think we ever got the TDI over here.  I have driven both the 5-cylinder 
and VR6 EVs, and honestly, I think the I-5 is better for the job. 

On another note, I personally prefer Vanagons.  As much as I hate working on 
the damn things, I love driving them.  The Waterboxer engine is a POS, but it 
moves the van along fine, and actually sounds good.  Well, for a minivan, 
anyway.  You really do sit up above everything, and while above/in front of 
the front wheels is strange at first, it's really nice once you get used to 
it.  Makes parallel parking really easy.  Anyway, they are the perfect 
roadtrip vehicle, and with the A3 2.0L conversion(available through 
Eurospec), they are awesome.  And don't even get me started on how cool the 
Syncro versions are.  I know there is at least one person on this list with a 
Vanagon...
