OK, for all of you out there with a 1.8L 16V, I have all of the parts you need to make yourself a 1.9L. And you can do it all with very little downtime. All parts are used. They include:
(1) 1.8L 16V block. Complete from oil pan to head gasket surface. Mileage unknown. (4) Oversize 2.0L pistons. Came from the engine in my GTI that spun a rod bearing. 3000 miles. With rings. Great condition. Just have the block bored to fit the pistons, and you've got a 1.9L. Priced to go at $350/obo. Buyer pays shipping, or you may pick up in the DC area. I also have an overbored 2.0L block, with damaged rods and crank sitting here. If anyone would like it, make me an offer. Complete except for the pistons.
