I had an article about jamming police radar (I know, I know, it's not about
LASER jammers, but it's cool) with a device that you could make from simple
bits from any Radio Shack, and one part that had to be special ordered. The
article said that the unit should be put in front, behind the grille (unless
the grille was metal), and it sent out radar signals that would jam a police
radar. I don't know which band this might have been, or if it actually
worked, since I lost the article before I got to build the device. They also
said that when driving past large highway signs, the jammer would send out
signals that bounced off of these signs and would set off any detector in
the area, and people around you would stomp on the brakes. Could be pretty
entertaining as well as helpful around the po-po.
