I had the EGR valve go bad. I wanted to remove the EGR valve, but no one could find a plate that replaces it. Sure i could have made up piece of metal, but I went the lazy route. I plugged the valve with a large vaccuum cap and the exhaust tube with one of those high temp caps like on the CO tube. total cost was $5.
