I believe the difference is that the 1.8L was originally equipped with a solid rubber mount while the 2.0L was originally equipped with a hydraullically filled mount. They're interchangeable but the hydraullic mount absorbs more engine vibration thus transmitting less to the chassis. The front engine mount changed at some point as well with the hydraullic version being preferable. I don't believe that the trans mount is different from year to year.

Kind of sucks since the 1.8L mount costs around $30, and the > 2L was > quoted at $130. Anyone know of a better price?
