Are we going to see you on this show? J/K. But, it would be really cool to
see an A2 16V racing on TV...

Last nite I was watching the US's equivalent of the
touring car series on Speedvision. Most of them
are Acura Integra Type R (definitely the dominant car
w/ a 75 lb weight handicap) and BMW 328is with a 240sx
and an A3 VW Jetta (probably a VR6 since the 2.0 surely
can't compete w/ the other cars) thrown in the mix.

Anyway, the VW and the 240SX are the back marker and one highlight
showed the Jetta flipped and rolled 6 times. Didn't catch the cause of the accident.

Yes, it's good to see street VWs racing on TV but it doesn't
seem like they're very competive... Integras, Preludes,
240SX, Miatas, Accords and everything else are running in
different venues but rarely VWs. Only on rallies do I
see A2 VWs and Audi 4000Q...

As much as I/we like our A2s, they don't seem that
competitive on a national level. No offense to those who are
actually campaining VWs, just based on what I see on TV...
