hi. i'm brand new to the list, having just (yesterday) purchased an '87 GLI. this follows the tragic death of my '84 GLI (some idiot pulled out in front of me, forcing me to plow into him). i had been hoping to find a GTI (lifestyle purposes) but this one came along first and my garage had done all the work on it since '92, so i couldn't pass it up.
most of the stuff i'm reading is a bit over my head but i'm looking forward to learning. today was the first day i really drove the car-- from boston to nh (for inspection) and back, and it's quite a pleasure. diffrent from my old 8V-- better here, less pleasant there -- but overall quite a rush. just saying hi aaron 87 16v gli ===== "But then again I am an existential nihilist to whom nothing matters." --A.
