I find it interesting to note several things: The same designers did the New Beetle AND the TT The New Beetle and the TT both have high speed stability problems The New Beetle and the TT are both Fugly The Golf 4 is on the same chassis and does not have these problems Later, Clayton

Or, at least, I hope not! Apparently they've been having major problems. Several people have been killed in weird accidents. A professional driver was killed in one this fall; on a strait road with no wind the car spun and killed him. Audi KNEW about this beforehand and didn't want to add a spoiler and ruin the shape of the car. From what I've read in Auto Week and some other industry-esque pubs, this sounds like a story that could be a PR nightmare. OTOH, if they really did know about the problem, they deserve whatever bad press they get. On the other other hand (the third one, I guess), anyone going that speed does so at his/her own risk. On the fourth hand, in germany, those are semi-legal speeds and a modern sportscar should be stable at them. _____________ List Sponsor: http://www.netsville.com To remove yourself from this list, send mail to [email protected] with 'unsubscribe a2_16v' in the body of your message See us on the web at http://www.a2-16v.com Visit the 16V Homepage at http://www.gti16v.org
