Guys, no one has said the magic words on this subject: Tire Pressure! I've run 195/50's, and 205/50's on 6.5" wheels, and just ran more pressure in the 205's. I personally prefer the 205/50's, but my engine and suspension mods lend themselves to more tire, anyway. Also, side wall stiffness varies greatly between various manufacturers and models. A ZR rated tire is more likely to have stiffer side walls than the same size tire in VR rated or below (HR, TR, SR, etc.). I currently run 225/40-ZR16's on 16x7.5" wheels, and wouldn't go anywhere else. When I first went to 16" wheels, I ran one set of 205/45-ZR16 SP-8000's, and when I went up to the 225's, I was much more satisfied. That's my last .02 - now I'm completely broke, --Holland Forced Failure Racing Don't Ask MotorSports [email protected] a2_16V List Owner [email protected] San Jose, California _____________ List Sponsor: http://www.netsville.com To remove yourself from this list, send mail to [email protected] with 'unsubscribe a2_16v' in the body of your message See us on the web at http://www.a2-16v.com Visit the 16V Homepage at http://www.gti16v.org
