The CV's were bad but I replaced the halfshafts. The clicking happens right
along with a sort of a limp at slow speed, which feels like the tires may have a
bit of a flat spot after being parked all night. I know the mechanic tightened
the halfshafts real good the second time around 'cause the first time the
driver's side came right off of the transaxle. I'm pretty sure my shocks and
probably the strut bearings are shot. Could this be it?

Rear bearings produce a roaring sound as they fail. Since you're
reporting clicking sounds, it's most likely something in a CV joint.
Do they ever click when you're turning to full-lock at extremely low
speeds?
