Kris, Volkswagen does much of their engine testing in the United States due to the wide range of climatic conditions found here. They have testing facilities in Florida, Phoenix, New Jersey and Detroit. Often many European models are also tested here as well, even though there are no plans to bring them here for sale. In the last several weeks there have been sitings of the wagons you mention and several Lupo sitings. VWoA product planners have told us that they don't currently have any plans to offer the Jetta Wagon here in North America. It's unfortunate, because I really like the Jetta wagon myself.
