I had the same issue recently. Do you have a Neuspeed sway bar? If so, check your ends and tighten. Mine have started to clunk again and I'm going to use the wonderful Lock Tite this time around.

When I go over a bump I'm getting a loudish clunk from the lower part of right front suspension. It didn't start progressively, and I'm wondering what it could be? No weird vibrations, no ill-handling, just a disturbing sounding clunk. (not strut bearing sound or brakes rattling) Sway bar loose? Ball joints? I just can't imagine what would break all of a sudden. I can't get under the car to look because it's parking area consists of about 5 inches of mud right now... Anyone know what a clutch cable costs? Time to do mine AGAIN. The last one came with the car, and the previous one was of the self-adjusting variety. ************** Patrick Austin [email protected] (617)493-6636 ************** _____________ List Sponsor: http://www.netsville.com To remove yourself from this list, send mail to [email protected] with 'unsubscribe a2_16v' in the body of your message See us on the web at http://www.a2-16v.com Visit the 16V Homepage at http://www.gti16v.org
