I had a similar situation when I bought my car, except the radio was not
stolen, a complete HACK just installed the previous one. Anyway, I was able
to find all the wiring by MUCH consultation in the Bentley in the wiring
schematics. Just make sure you know where your car was produced, and the
manual is dead on. In terms of finding the route the wires take from the
rear, I think the passenger's side runs along the floor under the door sill
and the driver's is either in the same place or running up the transmission
tunnel. I agree with what someone else wrote- run new wires if you have the
time or inclination.

Brice

Subject: Wher to find rear speaker wiring harness

I finally saw my car in the light to see how much damage there was to the
car
after the break in. What I found was when the undesirable prick yanked out
the radio they took the wiring harness to the front and rear speakers. I
recreated the front speaker harness already but for the life of me I can't
find any hint of where the rear speak harness is located. I have checked the

Bentley numerous time and came up empty handed. does anyone know where VW
ran the harness to the rear speakers, along the pillars or under the carpet?

Where there is a plug around the dash area for the rear speakers that I
could
splice into. The Bentley shows there is a plug but is that the one at the
rear speakers themselves? Thanks in Advance
