Neuspeed couldn't make a VW fast if the company's life depended on it. I
just looked through the newest Car and Driver which has an article on tuner
cars and I laughed. Neuspeed modded an Audi TT and made it: barely any
quicker than stock!
No surprise. I've always noticed that Neuspeed can bolt on springs and
swaybars, and 32billion-inch rims, but they almost never make their VW/Audi
project cars any faster.
- In a car magazine last month, they tested a Neuspeed modded GTI VR6, which
had all the fuckin' aesthetics crap that any moron can bolt on to their car,
a full suspension kit, and an exhaust and filter. Wow. The car was SLOWER
than stock. They said the rims were too heavy (like 18's or something).
- The old neuspeed modded G60 corrado with over 200 hp could only do 15.7 in
the 1/4 mile. A stock VR6 is quicker.
- The old neuspeed oettinger powered Rabbit had 170 hp, and it too could only
muster 15.7 in the 1/4. My old Rabbit GTI with 115 hp could do 15.8 in the
1/4.

And that's just of the top of my head.

They just shouldn't call themselves a VW tuner. All they care about now is
Honda, 'cause that's where the money's at.

Aaaaaaah. I feel better now.

Alex.
