> Lindell VW here in Tampa has quite a few of the Golf 4 door 1.8T's. Saw a > silver one being test driven last night on my way home, in fact. I went to the dealer yesterday (Southern States VW in Raleigh NC) to get the reverse lockout block for my '91. Incidentally it's probably the cheapest part they sell. It only cost me $1.43. But anyways....I took a tour through the show room on my way out and started checking out the 2000 Turbo Beetle. Before you know it, I'm cruising around in a 1.8T Golf on a test drive. It's the only one they had on the lot, and I have no idea why they let me drive it. But it sure was fun. It only had 40 miles on it when I started. Compared to my GTI, it felt like it drove like magic. Nice and smooth. But in my car, I at least feel like I'm going fast. It sucked to get back into my car after the test drive. My clutch felt like a ton of bricks comparatively. Ahh, someday.
