'89 GTI 16V (w/ the authentic "vw look")
Perfect timing Shawn. Just yesterday afternoon, while
driving in the horrid SoCal rain :-), I pulled behind
what looks like a red 86 GTI (I used to own one of that
color) with two GTI grill badges, a "76" ball on the
fender mounted antenna and a fake Fuba on the roof.
In the rear, immediately left of the "GTI" badge sits
the larger lettered "GTI" badge from a 90+ GTI and
a "16v" badge beneath it. Twin GTI badges, holy smoke!!!
Of course, he had the large Neuspeed sticker on the windshield
and "racing" in the rear hatch, a full-on Yakima rack
w/ every attachment ever made. Other than that, it looked
like a stock GTI, stock wheels, stock height...
Sorry but I didn't have a digital camera handy...
