Hello all. I know this is probably an old tired topic but my search through the archives was not to fruitful. I have a 91 Jetta 16v with a 1.8L head. I was wondering what plugs to run. The PO used the Bosch triple electrode plugs and when I had to take it in for a tune-up, the shop (very respectable) said that they suggest Bosch platiums for 16v vws and that is what is currently in there. Then I heard that the platiums have too hot a spark and can cause detonation. I read a post that said to use either the Bosch triple electrode or the Bosch Silbers. I guess I just want to know what the rest of you use and think.
