Hey all, Well I finally got my car back on the road...a few dollars poorer in favor of the mechanic.
Short history of a long story..... (Brand new, zero mile)Engine swap...engine running...no gears...possible dragging clutch issue?...off to the mechanic! >From the mechanics mouth...clutch was fine, but there is a sequence on how to tighten the bolts/nuts on the front engine mount. If not followed, the engine/tranny combo will not sit in the proper 'zero position' resulting in the tranny slightly rotated, not allowing shift linkage to function properly? Full of shit...not sure...but the car is back on the street! So the next question is, the new engine has a Euro Intake Cam and we can't seem to get the idle settled, somewhat lumpy. I have heard both stories on this...should be factory smooth, and will be somewhat lumpy. So what is the consensus from those that are running a Euro Intake Cam? 79 miles on the clock, it will be a painful break-in period! Greg
