Here is the deal...My transmission is completely unbolted from the
engine. Nothing is holding it on, except the metal rod going from the
tranny to the engine. I tried many many times with help from someone else
to remove it. I rotated the 'pumpkin' up about 90 degrees. I pulled with
all my might. The engine is moved over plenty far enough. I don't have
any clearance problems, it just won't come off. When we pull on the
tranny, it brings the engine with it. What's the deal. I'm really
annoyed. Should the engine be at top dead center? I don't see why that
should matter, but on the write up on Jan's page it says 'put the engine
at TDC to free things up'. Not an exact quote but what the heck does
'free things up' mean anyway? Thanks for the help.
