To all: A co-worker's friend is selling her 92 Passat GL 5 spd. The car is as clean as a 9 year old car, that has been driven, can get. I test drove it yesterday and the only things it needs is the master and/or slave clutch cylinder, better tires, and a wheel bearing. She is the original owner and the car has 86k miles. I don't know the details of the service history, but it looks like it's been dealer maintenance all the way (everything that I could tell has been replaced is genuine VW) . I want it, but I can't justify one more car in my house, it would have to replace my GTI. I had never driven a 2.0 before and all I can say is WOW! I can only imagine what this engine is like in a GTI/GLI. Anyway, I'd like to hear some opinions or if anyone is interested, let me know. She wants $3500 firm. TIA.
