I bought a Ractive upper stress bar on Ebay for cheap.
It says 85 - 92 Golf, Jetta. No mention 8v or 16v, so I
assume it's either. I've got a 16v. Installed the bar.
It's got very minimal clearance over the WOT switch,
like daylight + and I think the hood may touch it when
closed. Hood does close OK. How much does the engine
move under load and is this thing just too tight to
safely use? If I remove it, who's got a creative use for
these 8 nutserts in my towers......
