The "1" position is reset after the car has sat for 2 hours with the
ignition in the 'off' position.  The "2" position has to be manually
reset.

Both 0's are resets, for each respective "profile".  Get some electrical
contact cleaner from an auto parts store or hardware store, and thoroughly
spray the wiper stalk... try to get the stuff in the switches itself.
That may be enough to get it working again.

You might be able to pick a manual up at the stealer... probably not.  At
any rate, you've figured out 90 percent of it. :)
