I can tell you that it is possible to pinch both sides of the cracked
stainless steel bellows together and braze them together. I did this a
month or so prior to selling the car so cannot attest to its longevity.
Done off the car, sure is cheap for a DIY.

They offered to sell me a downpipe to weld onto my cat :( Does anyone know
if some company out there offers a flex coupling kit for our downpipes?
