Mike, As long as you redid the bushings, I would suggest that you need an adjustment on the shifter. Go peek under the car and see where the long rod from your shifter goes to the linkage. You'll see a 13mm nut, I think. Loosen and adjust as needed. To do that, get a cassette tape (thickness of your pinky finger) and place between the reverse lockout under your shifter boot and the shifter. Get under the car and tighten the bolt. That should do it! Jim
<< When I come to a stop I can downshift to 1st with no problems. However, if I am waiting at a light and shift from neutral to first, it does not like to go in smoothly most of the time and sometimes won't go into 1st unless I go into 2nd first. Any ideas what could be causing this? I had the bushings changed last year. Low on tranny fluid maybe. Any help would be appreciated.
