For one thing, the mounting points are not the same at all. Also, the black magic lights are not headlights. The beam pattern is totally different. If you did get them set up correctly, people would still think you had your high beams on. They do make smoked 7" H4's that fit though. PG Performance used to sell some. Also, there is a guy named Patrcik P on vwvortex that has smoked cross hair 7" H4's. You might want to talk to him. That is his handle on the vortex also. search the golf II and 16v forum.
