Will,
The only difference with ABS cars is the master cylinder, and the toothed
rotors & sensors at the wheels. Everything else is exactly the same as
non-ABS cars. Don't let anyone B/S you into paying more for "ABS Rotors".
I just got a set of ATE Powerdisks from Adirondack for my Passat w/ABS and
they are exactly the same ones used by the A2 cars with 10.1 disks. The
pads and rear disks are also the same on both. HTH.

I took the wheel off my Jetta for the first time today and I was greeted by
a nasty sight. The brakes looked TERRIBLE. So, I need to get new rotors.
But, how do I figure out if I have ABS or not? There is a huge difference
in price for the rotors. Is there a good place to buy pads? They wanted
$39.99 for the set at autozone. Anybody interested can look at a quick

<http://pages.zdnet.com/peopleunderthe/peopleunderthe/id8.html> Somebody
please get me some leads. I want to get this car running by the middle of
next week because I am sick of driving around through potholes on the konis
in my GLHS (its a really stiff ride to say the least). Thanks all...
