I would say they are heavy. I have not held the old style shelf type to do
any comparison, but the knee bar is a metal bar covered with foam the entire
length of the dash. It does look better, though.

VW content: I just bought knee bars off a guy on eBay
for $1.55. Are these things heavy, or are there any
reasons I should not put them on my car? They
certainly look much better than the crap plastic thats
in my car now.
