Hey guys,
I want to thank those of you who helped me with my ABS questions this far. As most of you assumed, I do not have ABS. I did the brakes, and they work like a charm now. I had to replace the calipers along with the rotors/pads because they were dragging. If I had known I was going to do that I probably would have upgraded to bigger brakes from the getgo, but, live and learn I guess.

Now... as some of you may remember I had a problem with hard starting and coolant temp sensors. I replaced the coolant temp sensor (had bad experience with the VW dealership ordering the wrong part too BTW), and now it idles at about 750 rpm (is that right or is it too low?). The temp guage works though, and the temp light does not blink either. only problem is that the idle is really rough and I had it stall once. It only idles that low when cold though. I am going to do a complete tune up tomorrow, as all I replaced today was plugs (old ones fouled)... I hope the tuneup helps some.

But I still have a problem with starting. It does not like to start when warm. I have to apply the throttle to get it started. Is this normal? It seems abnormal for MPFI. Could an old fuel filter cause a problem like this? Everything else on the car is old and neglected so I bet the fuel filter is as well. Any recommendations on what to check are welcome... these symptoms are pointing towards a common problem, I just don't know what! Thanks guys...
