I crossed the line and bought my wife a 2001 BUG today for her 40th birthday. She had no idea it was coming, I thought she was going to pass out. I just gained at least 1,000,000 points in my favor. If I still had some money left I could probably do ANYTHING I ever wanted to my cars without question...maybe later.
BTW I wasn't that fond of the NBs until I drove this one home, 1.8 turbo, all imaginable options, 17" factory wheels with Michelin XGT4s. Actually a very nice car that also can scoot pretty well when called upon. Not too much turbo lag (kind of like a 16v) and you definately know when it spools up.
