If you really want to protect your seats there is a few ways of doing
it.
I didn't realize how easy it is to take the seats out of our cars untill
I had to put replacement seats in my 91 Jetta. All it takes is to
remove the acorn nut in the front of the middle track. After you do
that slide the seat all the way back and its off. It takes about 30
seconds to get the seat out.

1. Replace the acorn nut on the middle track (dip your head under the
seat and look for the nun on the front of the middle track) with a small
MASTER or another brand lock. If you want to fit a bigger lock you can
always make the hole in the track bigger by drilling it out.

2. Actually drill a hole into the side track (from the back seat) and
put a big Master lock through the track.

3. Weld a plate with a hoop to the floor under the seat and cut a hole
through the carpet so the hoop will sitck out. Weld two 3/8" or 1/2"
thick chains to the under frame of the seat (one chain on each side).
Leave enough slack in the chain so that you can slide the seat around,
but enough so that it can't slide off the tracks. Lock both chains to
the hoop with a big ass master lock. Your seats aren't going anywhere.

Guys who break into our cars aren't going to have an array of tools or
be repared to handle a lock.

Thats how you keep your Recaro Seats.
