FWIW, I ran w/out the O2 sensor (disconnected and hole plugged)
for a few months and the only thing I noticed was that it didn't
idle as well when the engine was still cold and gas mileage
was only a couple of MPG for the worse.  When you have a bad
or no O2 sensor, it runs rich while at part throttle/low rpms.  The way
to correct that is to always run at full throttle...

BTW, 15mpg is what I've averaged while running continuous
full throttle...

How is your gas mileage?  If your gas mileage is suffering really badly
(lets say around 10-15 mpg), then your O2 sensor is shot!  :(
