Well, I took my rear motor mount off today to put the poly insert I have here into it and I can see why the motor was jumping around... The center of the rubber mount was sheared clean off of the outside. Pulled the one off of my Golf and put it into the GTI. WOW, what a difference. I haven't got on it yet, but just from driving a mile down the road and back it's way different. Shakes the crap outta the car but there is NO movement anywhere now. I wouldn't recommend it if you like things smooth. I can feel the motor vibration at any rpm (so far it's only been to about 4000, but I'll see what it does after I take a cruise tonight) through the seat and pedals. Shifts are sooo smooth too. If you don't mind vibration, it's the way to go.
Anyways, talk is cheap, I'm goin for a drive :D Jim Weinheimer [email protected] 85 2.0L 16v GTI 85 Golf _____________ List Sponsor: http://www.netsville.com To remove yourself from this list, send mail to [email protected] with 'unsubscribe a2_16v' in the body of your message See us on the web at http://www.a2-16v.com Visit the 16V Homepage at http://www.gti16v.org
