Mike,
There's two screws on top of the vents. Tilt the vents back, remove screws
& pull vent out.

the Bentley would have the solution as well but that is at home. Anyway,

do you take the portion of the console that houses the 2 centre vents? The
car in question is an 1991 Golf GTI 16 v. Thanks.
